Office closure, Jan. 28 to Feb. 3

As we mentioned last month, Nathan will be moving across the country from Wednesday, January 28, to Tuesday, February 3. During this time the Raft “office” will be closed and communication will be highly limited. If anything urgent comes up during that time, please reach Nathan at nathan.74 on Signal. We also encourage and sincerely appreciate you reaching out in the next few days with any anticipated needs or concerns.

Operational notes

• Member fund: As of January 1, the Member Fund balance sits at $11,052.34. We have just initiated next steps on our first co-decision-making process with the folks that signed up, more info to come!

• New projects: Please join us in welcoming The Nectary!

• Semiannual reports: Thank you to the many projects that responded to the draft narrative report! Yesterday we followed up regarding the few remaining reports we are missing.

• Upcoming projects: Although much of our “surplus” time in January went toward processing grants (!) and honoraria for our Float participatory regranting program, that is cooling down and we are looking forward to working on a major update to the documentation, improvements to our non-credit card donation tracking and acknowledgment letter flow, and a few smaller operational adjustments.
